Dear fellow entrepreneur,
Have you ever imagined if there could be a way…a sort of blueprint that every entrepreneur and business owner could follow…and that would lead to sure success?
Yes, I love entrepreneurs so much that I wish every single business that is ever started should succeed…
We all know that is impossible.
However…
…if we think logically about it…there IS actually a way for every entrepreneur to be successful.
The problem is that…not all entrepreneurs will find that way…
…or not all those who find it will follow it.
In fact, most of those who follow it would either not do so the right way or won’t be able to persevere during hard times.
So…there’s nothing anyone can do about it; it’s not possible for every entrepreneur or business owner to succeed.
So…back to the point I was making.
For entrepreneurs and business owners who can indeed dedicate their lives to following this certain way, focus on it without any distraction, and persevere when times are hard, there actually IS a way you can follow to success.
It’s very simple and I won’t try to complicate it: It’s following the steps of those who have succeeded.
There is no other shortcut. This is it!
This is my secret to success. I learnt from people who were successful, and followed their footsteps.
I founded a multi-billion-Naira company, pioneered the billion-dollar sports betting industry, became a House of Rep Member – twice – and it’s not all because I’m a genius. It all started from doing what those ahead of me did to get to where they were.
Like we say here in Nigeria: follow who know road.
This is why in turn, I show the way too
Why I teach business.
Why I write books.
Why I host seminars and workshops.
Because I’ve been blessed enough to enjoy some success, especially in business and entrepreneurship…I love to teach others how I do it. So that they can do it too.
One of those attempts is my latest book, How to Sell to Nigerians.
It became an instant hit once released, just like the first one: Small Business, Big Money. And damn, the reviews have been great…and they keep pouring in.
It shows how much such information was badly needed, especially by youth entrepreneurs in the country.
Ever since the release and warm reception of my last book, I’ve been thinking of even more ways to help Nigerian entrepreneurs sell more and grow their business successfully.
And now, I’m taking it to the next level!
Severally, I’ve shared my own story of how I built Nigeria’s first sports betting company, NairaBET, which is still growing stronger till today.
How it started from an information marketing business, which I funded with just N3,500…
…and how one day I shared valuable information about foreign sports betting…
…and how that revealed to me the gap and opportunity in the Nigerian market…and how I took advantage and made moves to fill that gap…
…and how that has birthed the billion-dollar sports betting industry in Nigeria.
And of course, over the years, I’ve shared several tips and lessons from my journey and experience.
But I always want more for you, my fellow Nigerian entrepreneur.
You know…
2022 was a funny year for most Nigerian entrepreneurs. A lot of ups and downs, but mostly downs.
2023 has to be a better business year for us all.
Don’t you think so too?
So, recently I thought: which other companies can be great examples to Nigerian youths on how to sell to Nigerians and build a successful company?
Which other successful Nigerian entrepreneurs are great role models to others?
A few amazing companies came to mind.
Launched in 2016, they were the first online ‘savings and investment’ app in West Africa.
And within five years they grew the business to over 4,000,000 (four million) users who have saved & invested billions of Naira every month that they would have instead spent.
Think about that for a moment: over 4m users in less than 5 years!!
In this same Nigeria we both live in.
In this same country where most entrepreneurs and business owners are complaining about the economy, lack of capital, bad government, etc.
Another impressive feat is how they raised their seed of $1.1 million just two years after launching, even though they were not actively looking to raise funding at the time.
Think about that: while most startups spend all their time running after investors to no avail, investors were running after them. 90% of the funds were even raised from local investors.
Yes, this same Nigeria!
Now, PiggyVest are world-class fintech giants – now acquiring other fintech companies.
One unique thing about their success story is that leveraging social media is at the center of it all – from ideation to product development, to marketing, and so on.
Their story is inspiring.
We all need to learn from them.
Founded by a smart entrepreneur I respect, Ahmad Lawal, you will find them in major malls across the country, from Ilorin (where they started) to Lagos, Abuja, Ibadan, Osun, etc.
A HairSense salon easily becomes the biggest salon wherever they are located.
Their services go beyond male and female hair and extend to nails, facials, manicure, pedicure, etc.
In January this year, the Founder/CEO of HairSense Salons bagged the Outstanding Business Owner in Kwara award, in an event put together by the Kwara State Government.
If you desire to grow a brick & mortar (or physical) business in Nigeria, then this is a good model to learn from.
When Douglas Kendyson founded Selar in October 2016, he was a Customer Success Expert & Software Engineer at Paystack.
His focus was to build a service where non-registered business owners can sell their products.
Struggled a bit at the beginning but had a lucky break winning the Tony Elumelu Foundation grant of $10,000 in 2018, thanks to a German company which decided to support Elumelu by sponsoring an additional 210 entrepreneurs.
Selar.co however didn’t enjoy major success until 2020 when it “skyrocketed” with 3,000 sellers.
That figure grew to 21,000 sellers in 2021!
By the end of last year, 2022, Selar had grown to over 70,000 creators/sellers from over 15 African countries, 252,000 products sold, over 86,000 affiliates, over 400,000 registered users.
My favourite part? Money!!
In 2021, Selar paid about $2,000,000 to creators on their platforms, but more than doubled that in 2022, paying over $4.5M (that’s over 2 BILLION NAIRA!).
Success stories like this get me excited!
There are other great Nigerian companies that started as small businesses, and I can’t possibly profile them all.
But imagine that the founders of the companies I talked about, NairaBet, PiggyVest, Selar, and HairSense each revealed to you their paths to success.
Just imagine what choosing one of these paths and adapting it to your own business can do for you as an entrepreneur.
Well, you don’t have to imagine too far…BECAUSE I’m making this possible for you 🙂
This session will be hosted by me (Akin Alabi), and my guests will be:
Yes, five founders (including me) who took their ideas from small startups to giant companies in just a few years.
I want you to come and hear these amazing guys’ stories.
More importantly, I want you to pick from their journeys, actionable steps you can immediately take to unlock a flood of customers into your business – trust me, they’ll be revealing EVERYTHING.
I want you to leave this meeting with a clear plan on how to grow your business into a successful company very fast…from these brilliant entrepreneurs who’ve sold to tens of millions of Nigerians combined, and counting.
(Imagine what selling to just 10,000 – or even just 1,000 – Nigerians can do to your business in 2023!)
Even I (who has sold to millions and millions of Nigerians) can’t wait to hear how these other guys are doing it.
And as you can see, this is not an “internet business” seminar.
You’ll not just learn from those who’ve successfully built businesses online and in tech; you’ll also learn from someone who has done it offline, and for a general business such as a salon.
Anyone can be a barber, but not everyone can turn one barbing salon into a chain of salons.
Come and learn from the man himself how he did it – and still doing it.
As much as I want to help everyone, I can’t. It has to be an exclusive small event. The space we are using can’t take more than 100 people at a time.
Plus, the smaller the audience, the more practical value we all can get from the event. In fact, I’d prefer to have less than 50 people in attendance so you’ll be able to get your questions personally answered by at least one of us.
So…it’s first come, first served.
(Hint: DON’T leave this page without booking your slot in this once-in-a-lifetime limited private business growth session – you might NEVER AGAIN see all these guys talking publicly together at once!)
If you’ve known me for a while, you know that my high-ticket seminars are usually $5,000 and they always sell out. Plus, this one looks even better than any one I’ve done in the past.
So I was going to make this another $5,000 event. As it should be.
But…charging N3,5000,000 (at N700 per dollar) would defeat my goal of helping at least 50 Nigerian entrepreneurs with insider secrets that’ll help them acquire so many customers profitably that they become big companies within the next 3 to 5 years…starting this 2023.
That’s why I decided to reduce the price to just N500,000.
So…at just N500,000, you’ll get a seat at this once-in-a-lifetime Private Business Growth Session.
…if you are among the first 50 people to take this offer, you will save your slot at the price of just N280,000.
Yes, I’m giving you 50% off the price of this event if you act very fast.
Disclaimer: This discounted price is a temporary price, and I can increase it at any time without warning.
So, if you want us to meet and learn together in one of the exquisite facilities of the Radisson Blu Hotel in July, then leave every single thing you’re doing now and book your slot. It’ll probably fill up before I even get the chance to change the price – I know my people.
On Monday, 3rd July 2023, the price for this event will increase to N280,000!
And then it will keep increasing gradually from time to time till it goes back to the full price.
So, if you want to attend this private event with high net-worth speakers at the discounted price of N280k and avoid paying extra, click the button above to book your slot immediately.
I wouldn’t want to restrict these creative business minds with topics, but here is just a sneak peek of what you stand to gain when you attend this exclusive star-studded business growth session:
In short, from ideation to product development, to branding, marketing, sales, customer care, HR, funding, exiting and everything in between, no matter what level you are on your entrepreneurial journey, you’ll learn how to build a successful business in Nigeria when you attend this exclusive business growth conference.
I need not say more; especially when I’m not trying to fill up a big hall.

PPPS: I mentioned this event in a seminar I attended recently. And three people signed up immediately!
But some others raised the question of accommodation.
If you’d like to spend those two nights in the exquisite Radisson Blu where the event is taking place, kindly send a WhatsApp message to 08165343125 to get help with reservation.
I’ll be around too, and as a bonus for lodging, you’ll be able to hang out with me in the evening, if you want 🙂
